TLDR Background Story
Brothers Bryan and Jeff Gill moved to Big Sky in 2016. Bryan had previously sold hot sauce and condiments in Vermont under cottage food law. Together they launched a farm-to-table hot sauce made with Montana-grown peppers, now in its 10th year of production with five flavors.
Proudest Achievement
Reaching 100% Montana-sourced peppers (from Harlequin and Five Fox Farms) after early sourcing struggles, and scaling to more than 1,500 lbs. of peppers in a year
The "Why" Behind the Business
To make sauce with locally grown Montana peppers and bring local spice to Montana kitchens, while building a business that fits their snowboarding lifestyle. Bryan: "how do we run a business where we can ski as much as possible... and sourcing our peppers locally really lends itself to that."
