Simply Delightful
Cadillac, MI
TLDR Background Story
A downtown Cadillac treat shop known for gourmet caramel corn, fudge and chocolates. When the former owners announced it would close, business partners Anders Garner and Steven Barnes stepped in and revived it, reopening in February 2016. It has since grown into a handmade wholesale brand carried by stores across the U.S. and abroad.
Proudest Achievement
Growing a threatened local shop into a multi-market wholesale brand, starting with one four-item wholesale account in 2018, while keeping signature items handmade and out of Amazon and big-box stores.
The "Why" Behind the Business
To save a beloved local business, then to share its handmade treats more widely. Customers kept asking for the products in their own local stores, which drove the 2018 rebrand and wholesale launch.
