Our hot sauce is unique because it is juice-based, rather than vinegar-based - hence the refrigeration preference. Its fresh, vibrant flavor is fantastic on seafood (fish, fish tacos, shrimp, ceviche, oysters), chicken, pork (especially pulled pork or adobo), and even in cocktails, such as a Spicy Margarita or a "Cold Toddy" with bourbon & honey on the rocks. Additionally, customers enjoy it as a marinade, a spicy citronette, in scampis, and in bloody marys... the list goes on.

Sobremesa
Charleston, SC
TLDR Background Story
After closing our restaurant and shutting down our pop-up business, Sobremesa was born during the downtime of the pandemic. The same fantastic Mole Poblano and salsas loved by our customers became a Mexican foods brand that is built to withstand whatever curveballs the world can throw next!
Proudest Achievement
Successfully building a brand and a website during my pregnancy with our first child during the pandemic - I had my computer on the tray table in the hospital at all times!
The "Why" Behind the Business
Mark is a classically-trained chef who loves to make and enjoy the flavors of his Mexican roots.
Coolest/Most Fun Experience
We love traveling the Carolinas to do different markets and festivals. The kids (now ages 3 & 5) absolutely love staying at hotels and exploring new places!
